Challenge
How can we align the mobile experience with the high standards and sophistication of Devialet products?
With the planned launch of the Devialet Phantom Ultimate 98 dB and 108 dB speakers, it was crucial to transform the Devialet mobile app into a natural extension of the product. More than just a configuration tool or remote control, this new app had to become a gateway to the brand's universe, embodying its level of excellence and facilitating everyday use, while remaining compatible with the entire existing ecosystem.
Founded in Paris in 2007, Devialet is now one of the world leaders in audio innovation, renowned for its exceptional speakers and sound technologies.
Since 2024, Source.paris has been supporting Devialet's product teams in an ambitious transformation: giving digital product design the place it deserves within the company's strategy.
Approach
Three principles guided our work on the new companion app
Make the app a Devialet product in its own right, a natural extension of the sound and aesthetic experience.
Transposing the codes of luxury into the digital realm: colour palette, iconography, animations and visual details embodying refinement and excellence.
Simplifying discovery and use: smooth navigation and interactive journeys to encourage full adoption of the products.
Key solutions
Expert, integrated system with a multidisciplinary Source.paris team (Head of Mobile App Design, Project Management, Product Design) to transform the product vision into tangible deliverables, ensuring high quality standards without overburdening internal teams.
Implementation of new design methods and tools (design ops, design language system) to ensure consistency and efficiency.
UX/UI redesign of the app, incorporating the visual codes of the physical products to extend the consistency between hardware and software.
